Lawson is a seasoned board director, strategist, and digital leader with global experience across professional services, start-ups, and associations. After 35 years in industry, he pivoted in 2024 to focus on board leadership and building companies tackling climate and sustainability. He is currently Managing Partner at LongLeaf Studios, and has previously held senior leadership roles at Deloitte and as COO of the Association of International Certified Professional
Accountants, serving 700,000+ members in 34 countries. Lawson also serves on the boards of Biome Consortia and the Triangle Land Conservancy. Lawson’s areas of expertise include: Go-to-market Strategy, Talent Solutions, Digital Transformation, Climate, Governance. He’s passionate about helping startups succeed and creating sustainable businesses focused on people, profit, and planet.
